Essential Bitcoin is operated as a sole trader (Studio LaFabrique registered in France. As data controller, we are responsible for the personal data collected through this website.

- Bitcoin payments — Bitcoin transactions are pseudonymous by nature. No personal data is collected through this payment method beyond your wallet address.

- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising measurement. This tool collects browsing data to measure the performance of our ads on Meta platforms. You can opt out via your Meta ad preferences or through our cookie settings.
- WooCommerce / WordPress — our e-commerce platform, which stores order and account data on our hosting servers located in the European Union.

Data retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law:
- Order data — retained for 10 years in accordance with French commercial and tax law.
- Newsletter subscription — retained until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time via the link in any of our emails.
- Customer account data — retained for the duration of your account, plus 3 years after your last activity.
- Browsing data (cookies) — retained for a maximum of 13 months, in line with CNIL guidelines.
After the applicable retention period, your data is securely deleted or anonymised.
